My approach to freehand

When I offer you to do your project freehand, it doesn't mean that I will go ahead and tattoo something you have no idea about, on your skin.

Although that could be a cool experiment, my approach to freehand is as follows:

i.
After discussing all the details and cleaning and prepping your skin I first draw a draft sketch on the skin. This stage is for me to find the best fit for the drawing and for you to see the general composition. The you go to the mirror to so what's happening. After you approve it we move on to the next step

ii.
Now I draw a more detailed sketch adding small elements and details. You again go to the mirror to see if you are happy with everything

iii.
Only now it's time for tattooing



Even though it's a thorough three-step process, it still requires a huge amount of trust in the artist (me, in this case).
The sketches are never exactly the same as the final tattoo. Tattoos always are more detailed than my sketches, even ones I draw beforehand digitally or on paper.

I love working freehand since it truly is the best way to find the best fit not only for your body but also for your personality.
